Pamela has been teaching dance for over 28 years and has danced since the age of 5. She has trained with teachers from the Toronto National Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Quinte Ballet School and Kirov., in Cecchetti, Vaganova, and Balanchine classical methods. She has trained with several Canadian and US professionals in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and acro. She has competed and performed as a student and young adult, and appeared on two TV dance shows. She also has performed with several theater groups in the Niagara Region in Canada. Pamela has completed student and teacher certification levels with the Canadian Dance Association in ballet, tap and jazz. She also has completed all student and teacher levels in Cecchetti ballet in both Canada and the US. She currently judges for several regional and national dance competitions. Pamela also works with ice skaters within the Canton/Plymouth area. She is the technique and Pep team coach for PCEP high school dance teams. Pamela is currently the editor for Moving with Detroit dance magazine. She also works with several nonprofit dance organizations that provide platforms for performing artists through performance opportunities, workshops and outreach programs. She also co-hosts different community events to build awareness of the talent and professional dance opportunities in Metro Detroit. Pamela has been entering her students in Canadian and US competitions for over 28 years and sending students for ballet exams. She is known in the industry from her peers and students for being a strong technical coach. She has a huge heart and passion for teaching and inspiring dancers. Many of her students go on to attend university dance programs, work in professional companies, perform on Broadway and TV, or in other dance avenues. Pamela is also a photographer, specializing in dance photography, and works for various companies and events. In her free time, she loves to be with her three daughters.
